Where Oh Where is Titan? 1/28/13

I am much happier than I might appear.
Some of you already know where I am because it was on my Facebook page.  If you don't know...I am at the "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island.

It was a spectacular day and although we did not see any ally-gaters at the ally-gater hole, we did see these.

They were very cute and I got very excited but no worries, I was tucked away safely in the car ;o(  I wanted very much to introduce myself and say "hello".

I got out of the car a couple of times to stretch my legs and take care of "business".
I love a good field trip as you can see by my happy face.
That was awesome, when can we go again?

There Are No Inquiring Minds

Seriously???  Not one single comment on my new collars?  Even though no one cares what new collar I'm wearing, I'm gonna tell you anyway!

My mama says since we have a choice, my new collar should match my n-vire-mint, so since we are in Floor-i-duh and my mama says it is trop-i-cul here, I'm wearing the blue buh-teek collar because it's trop-i-cul too.

The blue buh-teek one

See how nice it looks against my handsome self.  I think my mama's right, I look good whether I'm practicing my "down, stay" on my mat
or keeping my papa's seat warm in the car.

My mama says May-nuh is all woods and trees, so my other collar will look good when we get home.  I think she's probably right about that, too.

I Was Awarded an Award!

Well, technically it wasn't really me that was awarded, it was my blog.  That's right, this blog was nominated for the Liebster Award
Are you asking yourself something like..."What the heck is a Liebster award?"  Here is the answer to your question...

"What is the Liebster Blog Award?
The Liebster Blog Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. “Liebster” is German for “favorite”. This award is the “favorite blog award” then."

Less than 200 followers, I have about 198 less than 200 followers.  Maybe this will bring some new followers to my blog.

Now, this award does come with strings attached; which means, there are some rules.  Here are the rules:
  1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you Thank you Mr. & Mrs. & Nola Kisses
  2. Share five things about yourself
  3. Answer five questions presented by Mr. & Mrs. & Nola Kisses
  4. Ask five new questions to your nominated bloggers
  5. Reveal your top five picks {with less than 200 readers} and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog
  6. Copy and paste the award on your blog
  7. Hope that the people you’ve sent the award to forward it to their five favorite up-and-coming bloggers and keep it going!
Here are five things about myself (and my mama because she helps me write my blog).

     1.  I LOVE my homemade dog food/my mama's a retired firefighter
     2.  I live in May-nuh in the summer and Floor-i-duh in the winter/so does my mama
     3.  My favorite toy is a red Kong with blue tails/my mama was born in Denver, CO
     4.  I don't like to wear a coat or dress up/my mama is a quilter
     5.  I am very vocal and have a lot to say/my mama spent her 50th birthday rock climbing and LOVED it.

My mama will answer the questions asked by the Mrs.
  1. What is your worst habit?  I don't exercise enough
  2. What is your dog’s worst habit?  He is reactive to other dogs ;o(
  3. What is your favorite day of the week?  Any day I'm not working ;o)
  4. What is the best thing about blogging? "Meeting" new people and getting new ideas
  5. What is your favorite travel destination?  That's a tough one so I'll have to pick two...Bar Harbor, ME and Old Quebec City, Canada
Here are my five questions.

     1.  What is your dog's favorite toy?
     2.  What famous person would you most like to meet?
     3.  If you could change your career and do absolutely anything, what would it be?
     4.  What is your favorite book or movie, ever?
     5.  Where did you learn the training trick that worked best for you & your dog?

Now for the hard part, revealing my top five picks with less than 200 readers.  Admittedly, I don't follow that many blogs and most of those have lots of followers.  So, I apologize if these blogs aren't new or have been nom-in-a-ted before or if they don't post regularly or have more than 200 followers.  I hope you will check them out anyway.

     1.  Two Grad Students and a Pittie
     2.  Pauley James Former Foster Baby
     3.  Pittieful Love
     4.  Between Trains
     5.  Of Pit Bulls & Patience

Well, I think that's about it.  My mama doesn't feel well so I'm gonna go and snuggle with her while you take care of business.

Until next time...Sir Titan of Nottingham CGC TT

New Collars

My mama and papa love the Mom and Pop Pet Shop in Punta Gorda, FL.  The owner's are very friendly and knowledgeable and they really like me.  In fact, they have a wall with photos of all the animals that come to visit them and I was the first photo on that wall!!!

We stopped there on our walk because I needed a new collar.  Truth be told, I needed one about 6 months ago but we waited until we got here so we could shop the little shop that has the nice people and carries the collars we like...Flying Dog Collars.

This was the collar I got last year; you can read all about it here.

Isn't it beautiful?  It was bright yellow with lots of dots and it looked GOOD on me.

This is what it looked like when I finally got new ones.
Can this possibly be the same collar?
Since they only had three collars left at the pet shop, we bought TWO of them because we have trouble finding them in May-nuh.

Is that a shiny buckle, or what?
One of the reasons we like the Flying Dog collars is because the buckle is metal, rather than plastic.  You can see the reflection of the trees and the beautiful blue sky in the shiny new buckle.

Wondering which one of these beauties I decided to wear first?
Did I wear the blue batik one that would match the color of my eyes if they were blue, which they are not?

Or the brown polka dot one that matches my beautiful fur (and Auntie Wendy's wedding colors)?
I'll let you think on it for a couple of days, then I'll show you.

A Full Freezer

My mama and papa made a new batch of dog food for me because I'm very spoiled, I have sens-a-tiv bow-els and I don't much care for regular kibble am a discriminating eater.
This is 21 days of food for moi (that's me, in French).  21 days of food takes up two shelves in the freezer.  Unfortunately, there are only three shelves in the freezer and a small drawer.  This means that my people cannot stock up on their own food because there's no room in the freezer.  Oh well.

Pant, pant, pant

We got to Floor-i-duh on Saturday and we've been walking every day.  It's been like a 100* warmer here than when we left Main-uh and walking makes me hot and tired.  Look how long my tongue gets after I've been walking.

My tired tongue from the right

My tired tongue from the left
Slurping up some water when we rest
Even when we get back to the car I'm still tired but I enjoy the AC
My favoite spot on the cool tile floor when we get home
I'm looking forward to a lot more days of walking and panting ;o)

Ready to Travel

We are leaving cold, snowy Main-uh and heading to warm, sunny Floor-i-duh on Thursday.  My mama and papa have been getting everything ready, they even took my mats out of the crate and put them in the car already.  This whole traveling thing makes me nervous so I'm not taking any chances.  I'm waiting and ready to go...
Is it time to go yet?
See you in Floor-i-duh!
