While my mama and papa went to the farmer's market, I sat home all alone. Unfortunately, a lot of other people take their dogs along to the market and that doesn't really suit me. I would prefer to have the market all to myself and my people. However, on their way home they stopped to visit the new location of the Mom and Pop Pet Shop. I have gotten several nice Flying Dog collars from this little store and the Mom and Pop are very nice people AND they really like me. In fact, my picture was one of the first ones on their bulletin board.
Anyway, while my mama and the Mom looked at the birds and talked about birds and my mama petted a baby bird, my papa was busy buying me presents. I guess my papa felt badly that I was home, all alone but my mama was too busy with the birds to give me much thought. That's sad, isn't it? Look at the jackpot of new toys that I got when my mama and papa came home.
Cool, huh? There are FOUR new stuffies and a rope toy. In my mama's defense, she bought the rope toy. I guess she was thinking about me a little. I have loved the purple fish before and you can read about it here. This time my papa liked thought I would like the green monkey the best, so that's the first one I got to play with. Surprisingly, I didn't even gut him like a fish unstuff him tonight. I think I like him, although he was a little stand offish at first.
I'm looking forward to getting my mouth on all those other toys; no quarantees they will last through the first night though. Until next time...Sir Titan of Nottingham CGC TT
I know, it's hard to believe that I have been living four years already. Birthday days are my favorite days! Today dawned sunny and b-u-t-ful. I knew it was going to be a most spectacular day when my papa cooked an entire piece of bacon for me, then fed it to me while I waited patiently on my mat and I didn't even have to do any stupiddumb special tricks to get a teeny, tiny piece of bacon but instead I got big pieces and they just kept coming until it was all gone. Oh yes, I knew it was going to be a good day.
See how patiently I'm waiting for BACON!
Oh My Dog, that's d-lish-us
Soon after BACON and after my mama and papa took f.o.r.e.v.e.r to eat their breakfast and prepare themselves for my special day, I got my second present...a new martingale collar. My papa wanted one for me so I would look extra special handsome on Sunday when we do the Strut Your Mutt walk to benefit the Sadie Fund at the Animal Welfare Society. More on that next week.

Next up...our morning walk. I'm thinking I look very stylish.
Sometimes I like to be at the end of the leash, but I'm not pulling, really I'm not.
I'm expected to "sit" when we stop and so I sit ;o)
My birthday day just started and I'm already all smiles.
Smile and the world smiles with you
After a wonderful walk, I helped myself to a drink in Sassy's fire hydrant fountain, now that my mama made it clean and fresh.
This is where their choices get a little questionable. My mama and papa decided it was such a great day, they needed to go for a bike ride (which you can read all about here, once my mama gets offherlazyrear, the post completed). Since I don't have thumbs, it's quite obvious that I wasn't invited to join them, so they left me alone for the afternoon...on my birthday day of all days. HA, I thoroughly enjoyed myself by doing things I'm not usually allowed to do...I got very comfy in my papa's chair and took a nice, long nap. I sat on the big, red footstool, looked out the window and barked at the hated white cat lurking across the street. I can't really tell you what else I did because it's top secret and I plead the 5th, whatever that means.
Finally, after what seemed like a really long time, even though everyone believes that dogs can't tell time, they came home. I can't complain, really because they brought me a super, special present that smelled heavenly. Any guesses?
HAMBURGER!
Then there was more...
Wow, two stuffies and 2 marrow bones. I didn't think it could get any better until I heard my mama tell my papa that I had a Frosty Paws frozen treat in the freezer. I saved my stuffies until after dinner but worked some magic on a fresh marrow bone from Jerry's Market.
I'm very good at "waiting" but enough is enough
I chewed it on the deck
and I chewed it on the grass
I even posed patiently with my SpongeBob birthday party hat, although next year I think I deserve a new hat!
I enjoyed a super, marvelous, extra special birthday day and I can't wait till next year. Then I needed a nap because birthday's wear me out.
I'm gonna tell you all about my day, my special day. It started with a nice walk with my mama. We didn't see any other dogs except the one that rode by in a truck with his/her head sticking out the winder and making lots of barking noises at me. I'm not fond of dogs but I don't.do.that!
Next, I got to enjoy a little "me" time while mama and papa ran errands. They didn't really run, they took the RAV.
Next was the biggest surprise in my whole life. They came home with some good smelling things in a bag.
Do you see that??? Along with a new kong and a new stuffie...it's a hamburger. I real fast food/junk food hamburger.
Well....I'm waaaaaaaaiting
I'm still waiting
I didn't gobble it down like some dogs do, I savored it for three long minutes. Then I gave my new bunny some lovin'.
I luv you, I luv you, I luv you
I spent time supervising my papa while he moved wood into the new shed.
The bucket with the wheel is empty, you know.
Supervising
I watched over my mama while she worked in the garden.
I took a nap because being three and doing so much celebrating made me tired.
I went into the back yard, past the fence, where I checked to be sure it was safe for my mama while she dumped her garden trimmings onto the compost pile.
I don't smell anything to be afraid of.
I don't see anything to be afraid of.
I played hide and seek even though mama didn't know we were playing.
I'm hiding, can you see me?
I did zoomies and took another nap.
zzzzzzzzz
After dinner there was ANOTHER surprise! I got dessert!!!
Frozen pumpkin & molasses for DOGS, that's me!
Gimme, gimme, gimme...pleeeeeze
Tastes much better on the deck
slurp
I sat politely My mama made me sit while my papa took a quick picture of me in my party hat.
