Merry Christmas Everyone
We celebrated last night with Auntie Wendy and Uncle Dan. They came over for dinner, gifts and games. I was already wearing my holiday bandana but that wasn't enough for them, so they dressed me up a little more. They were surprised I was so tolerant of their silliness.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas filled with your own kind of silliness!

BUSTED!
We have a lot of rules here...sit before going through the door, sit and "watch me" before getting my food, don't chase the cat, don't get on the fur-nitch-er...blah, blah, blah. I am, however, allowed to sleep on the nice ottoman. Well, sometimes I get tired of following the rules and when no one is looking, I love to sleep in my papa's red leather chair. Now, that's comfy! Today, I got caught. oops, bad timing on my part.
uh, oh |
As you can see, I'm close to the "approved" ottoman. As my mama says, "close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades" whatever that is.

Happy Thanksgiving 2011
Today I'm most thankful for the shelter workers that saw something special in me and took care of me until my family could find me.
My mama and papa have given me lots to be thankful for...
My super soft L.L.Bean bed--
A new stuffie toy--
An abundance of toys and bones--
My foster siblings--
I always have plenty to eat (although to be honest, I don't always eat it) and people that LOVE me. Can't say I blame them, I am pretty awesome!

Pleeeeeez Play With Me
It was a perfect day outside and I just wanted to play. This is my fav-o-rite toy, which my papa found at Tractor Supply. (I don't think it looks like a tractor, but I'm not sure what a tractor is.) I invite my mama to play by hovering over my toy, daring her to pick it up.
Sometimes I have to resort to rubbing my dirty, slobbery toy over her pants to get her attention.
Can you see me NOW? |
She likes to make me sit, then throw my toy far, far away and let me chase it. I like to keep my toy and have her chase ME to get it back. That's when she resorts to TREATS!
Ham and cheese |
Sometimes she resorts to a less than yummy tactic.
No, you are not seeing things. She is STANDING on my toy! I have no choice but to wait nicely until she throws it again.
Well, pick it up and throw it already. I can't wait all day. |
See how nicely I'm waiting?
Finally, I get too tired to run any more so I just roll around in the leaves and play with my toy, all by myself.
Aaaahhhh, life is good.

Halloween...I Don't Think So!
I don't really DO Halloween. No fancy outfits for me! No goofy hats for me! I let my papa buy me this for me and that's as far as I go.
Happy Halloween everyone!

Gone Fishing
Today was my first day at "Peaceful Pals" class. It's all about helping me with my reactivity around other dogs. I would be great if I was there alone but, NO, there are three, THREE, other dogs there that act just as crazy as me around ME. That's really CRAZY!!! I was kind of stressed out, as anyone that knows me can imagine. So when we got home I decided to relax and go fishing...
Bears aren't the only species that catch fish |
I think I hear a squeeker! |

Look What My Papa Brought Home
I LOVE the fact that my mama and papa like to bring home foster puppies for me to enjoy. They say I get along better with puppies than older dogs. I say that puppies are just more fun! and there's usually more than ONE! These are my new foster siblings that my papa brought home today. They kind of all look alike so I'm not sure which is which...
Daisy & Thor |
Sage (in the front) & one of the others |
See what I mean...can you tell them apart? I am told they are 8 weeks old, just babies. I'm already 2 YEARS old! I am bigger and older so I have a big fenced yard to play in but they are little, so they have a little fenced yard. They look sad but they were in my big yard for a long time this afternoon and we played and played and played (my mama didn't have her camera then). While my papa prepared their "space" in the house, they had a little time out in their yard and I got some one-on-one time with my mama. We are practicing a trade-up game with my toy because I don't share it very well. At least, that's what I hear them say when they think I'm not listening.
My mama says EVERYONE LOVES puppies, so here are a couple more pictures for you to LOVE...
Wish I was on THAT side of the fence |
Pick me up, pleeeeeeze!!! |
Daisy was being shy but, really, how can you not love that sad face |
They are only going to be here until Wednesday when they get "fixed". I don't think there is anything wrong with them but, whateva.
You can take my picture but you can't make me look at you |
Are we done yet? |
I'm tired now and need to get some beauty sleep because there is a lot of playin' planned for tomorrow (with pictures, I hope).

Stuff it!
I love a lot of things but today I'm lovin' my new stuffie. There's nothing more fun than pulling the stuffing out of a new stuffie toy. I really, REALLY like them when they squeek and I am extremely good at killing the squeek! It's one of my most favorite things to do. When my papa and I went to the AWS Strut your Mutt, we got a gift bag and my new stuffie was in the bag. Today...it was out of the bag and all over the floor. YaHoo!!!
What a nice, fluffy stuffie |
Giving my stuffie a little lovin' |
It feels sooo good in my mouth. |
Bet you wish you had one of these! |
There's plenty more where that came from. |
Like I said, I LOVE a good stuffie.

Struttin'
I am told that I came from a place called The Animal Welfare Society in W. Kennebunk, ME. I don't remember much about my time there, only what I'm told. My mama works there and my papa spends lots of time there helping the other animals that are waiting for a new family. They have a special fund called the Sadie Fund and they use money from that fund to help animals that come to the shelter needing special medical attention. Every year they have a BIG doggie party at the beach to raise money for this special fund. Last year I went with my foster mom, Auntie Jocelyn because my mama and papa were on vay-k-shun. This year my mama was working at the event but my papa dressed up special, because it was 9/11, and took me with him to the event. I think we were a super duper patriotic couple.
I kind of thought we would be voted "Best Patriotic Couple" but someone else won instead. That's okay, they looked pretty good, too. My goal was to be the "Face of the Strut" next year and my picture would be on all the flyers and I would be FAMOUS, but I wasn't quite proactive enough and didn't get a good up-close photo taken. That is something we will work on next year.

Time to PAR-T
WOW! I never knew birthdays were so much fun. Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh.
First, I got a new squeaky tennis ball a couple of days ago as an early present. I love a squeaky tennis ball! I loved it so much, I already broke the squeaky out of it. Today I got a new Kong toy. It's just like my old one but new-er. The squeaker works and my teeth don't get stuck in the Kong! This is my favorite toy to have my papa throw in the yard for me to chase.
I told you that my mama was cooking for my birthday. She had enough batter to make cup-caks and a small cake.
Cake and cup-caks before the frosting |
My special cup-cak with NO frosting & the people ones all frosted |
My cup-cak, a goofy hat and my special ice cream |
I was very excited about the fun things to eat but not so interested in wearing a hat. Auntie Jocelyn doesn't really take "no" for an answer.

The magic candles |
I wasted no time eating my cup-cak because I thought they might change their minds and take it back. I took the whole thing in my mouth and ran into the other room. Then I sat patiently waiting for my ice cream.
I am focused! |
E-thun isn't too sure about having his picture taken with me |
My mama, papa and me all wearing a stupid hat |
(Just ignore all that stuff in the background and focus on us!)
I hope you have a birthday coming up soon.

Gimme a TWO!
You might ask yourself..."I wonder why Titan wants a two, hmmm". Because (drum roll, please)
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!
Yeah, that's right, I'm TWO already. Can you believe it? That's twice as old as I was last year. I don't really understand how that works but my mama and papa said today we are celebrating my BIRTHDAY! They said I get PRESENTS! My papa took me shopping all the way to Portland and I got this really cool new collar.
Me and my cool new collar |
Isn't it b-u-t-ful? It's real leather and I think it's bedazzled in a very understated masculine way. What do you think?
I don't understand what a birthday is, but I know it's a lot of fun and did I mention...I get PRESENTS.
In case you didn't get enough earlier, here's another picture of me in my b-u-t-ful collar.
Shopping makes me tired |
Ahhh, I'm a lucky dog. And I'm TWO!
Until next time...Sir Titan of Nottingham
